I'm a month away from opening a small art gallery and I'm looking for recommendations on cctv systems. The gallery has five rooms that I want to cover with cctv cameras that I can watch from the reception desk. I want something obvious so people know they're being watched. The gallery is in a busy tourist town that sees a lot of traffic during the fall and especially during ski season, so the goal is to prevent any vandalism or theft, not just catch people after the fact. In addition to framed artwork, we show unframed photography and prints that visitors can thumb through in racks. The artists place it in the gallery on consignment so if it's gone when they come to restock, I'll have to compensate them whether it's been sold or stolen. I have to purchase some cctv cameras so any advice would be appreciated.

I am almost decided that I need to purchase cctv cameras for the library that I run. With a cctv camera that can be monitored from the web, the on duty librarian can monitor all the cameras from her desk which already has a computer. In addition, if she has a problem when I’m not there, she can call me at home and I can log on to the same camera view and help deal with the situation. CCTV systems are being used in more and more places, and I’m definitely considering investing in cctv cameras.

I’m thinking of getting cctv cameras to watch my store after closing. It’s newly opened so I’m a little apprehensive of someone breaking in at night. I’ve heard that having a cctv system is a good deterrent for possible crime. Has anyone used a cctv camera or cctv cameras for their business?
